We now offer eyebrow Microblading !

Starting January 17th 2025 our friend Deb will be joining us at Serpent moon! Deb will be offering her skilled service by appointment only but has very flexible availability to fit your schedule! Microblading is a luxury that is afordable and right at your fingertips in Bloomfield! We cultivate an environment of body positivity, comfort and love for all humans and we love helping people love themselves even more with body art. And we know Deb is the perfect fit of positivity to fit in with us.

Deborah Levine is a born and raised Steel City native who sings for a heavy metal band, is an herbalist witch, and wildlife volunteer. She was certified in Microblading 7 years ago and has loved providing this service which allows the client to feel more confident, comfortable and excited about their new look. She’s super excited to join this all female power group at Serpent Moon Tattoo and expand her skills and knowledge. She called Bloomfield home for 23 years and just recently moved out of the neighbor… she’s back!

Upcoming events

We are excited to announce we have two upcoming events this month. Kati Zmenkowski and Kait Townsend will be tattooing at Pittsburgh Tattoo Mania , June 21-23 and Avery Boster will be selling her unique handmade jewelry there as well. Pittsburgh Tattoo Mania is at the David L Lawrence Convention Center and is a new convention with over 200 artists and daily contests. Mike Szymarek will be tattooing at Sleepfest on June 22 in the south side works, Sleepfest is an all day arts and music festival, a portion of the proceeds benefit the Pittsburgh Women’s Center and Shelter.

Hello Creatures, Beings, Outsiders, and Things in-between.

With the bold dismissal of our right on June 24th, in regards to our bodies, we decided to, and have held a fundraiser for 3 organizations:

Midwest Access Coalition - https://www.midwestaccesscoalition.org

Western Pennsylvania - https://www.wpafundforchoice.org

Plan C -https://www.plancpills.org

The community came to support these orgs, and our goal of reaching $3,000 overall has been successful. All proceeds went directly to each organization of clients choice. Each organization is linked above, so go check them out!

It’s lovely, encouraging, and humbling to see that this goal was met. Seeing such an abundance of courage and support for our united community  was shown , that we will be hosting another fundraiser in the future!

We want to thank everyone who came, who messaged us, who emailed us, for supporting the organizations, for being cool and getting a tattoo, and for sharing your stories.

So again, everyone, thank you~

New things happening!

Firstly, we are very sad to announce that Christianne will be leaving us at the end of the month to open her own private studio. The positive is that she will only be right up the street from us on Liberty Ave!

Next we have a new artist starting part time and a new shop assistant ! Look for posts about them soon. They are both very cool chill humans and for sure a good fit with us. We are still looking for one more full time artist!

Lastly we have been slowly renovating to now showcase art and goods for sale in the front of the shop! Renovations should be done soon! Look out for local artist goods and work there!

We’re open!

It seems like this has taken a very long time. The building process was hard and unexpected. For those of you who know the details of this , it was wild. But now we’re all laughing about it.

There is still a lot to do; small details like some floor trim, window graphics etc. But we’re all in and functioning again! Kati’s apprentice , Kait, has a fully built space of her own and is about to start tattooing !
